A guru has said yoga is a “spiritual practice” and not a religious practice.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev said on Friday he was not aware that the government had asked him to perform a religious ceremony in the country.

He was responding to a question from a newspaper.

Rama Ramdev was speaking at a function in Pune, where he said the rituals performed by Hindus and Sikhs are a form of spirituality and are not “spirituality.”

“This is not a religion,” Ramdev told reporters.

“This is a way of life, a spiritual tradition.

Raman Singh, the founder of the Samanta Samiti, the country’s largest yoga movement, was also asked about the government’s move to ask him to conduct a religious ritual.”

But we don’t worship a deity,” he added.
