When Newcastle United and Arsenal meet in the Premier League on Saturday night, the Gunners will be without Lacazettes central striker Alexandres Lacazas long-term successor, Alexandre Bakayoko, who will miss the next two games with a hamstring injury.

The Magpies will have an additional player in the squad, however, who is set to make his Newcastle debut against the Swans on Sunday.

Alexandre Lacazapetsi, 23, has played three times for the French side this season, scoring twice, and he is the club’s only young centre-forward.

In a year that has seen the club sign another new striker, Moussa Sissoko, in a £30m deal, the 20-year-old has been one of Newcastle’s most promising players.

But it is the fact that Lacazeta is set for a major role in the side’s attack that has led to the Gunner manager to consider a bid.

Lacazapetis Premier League goals in 2018/19: 5 Premier League assists (2 goals and 3 assists) He is only 23 years old, but he is a player who has the potential to become a very important part of the Gunns squad.

It has been the case throughout his time in the league that he has scored goals, and while his career has yet to reach the level of his club-mates, he has already established himself as one of the most impressive strikers in Europe.

However, Newcastle’s current lack of goals will have some clubs very concerned about the future of the Frenchman.

If the Gunnys desire to sign Lacazetes successor is to be believed, the Frenchman is set his sights on making the most of his potential.

According to Goal, Newcastle have made a bid for the attacking midfielder and are keen to get him to the club before the end of the month.

“There is a lot of interest from other clubs, and I am sure that they will make a bid soon,” said Newcastle’s manager Alan Pardew on Tuesday.

“If they want to bring him in, we are open to that.

His quality is so good, and his performances so important.

I would like to see him score more goals in this team.

That’s what we want from him.

He can score more and do more things.”

The French forward, who has been capped by France at every level, has made his debut for the club this season and scored in the last match of the season against Swansea City.

Having scored 10 goals in 24 games, he is currently on track to break the 100-goal mark in 2018-19.

With a strong showing against the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Spurs this season (his current total of 21), Lacazite has impressed.

This is the first time he has played in the first team this season as well, having started on the bench in the 2-1 win over Stoke City on October 31.

Despite a lack of games, Lacaz is still an important player for the Magpics, and has been crucial in their recent success.

Arsenal have been linked with Lacazites signature for a number of years, with the Guners boss Arsene Wenger also reportedly keen on bringing the Frenchman to the Emirates.

Wenger also hinted at a move for Lacazepetis at the start of the summer, and now Newcastle manager Alan Mancini is ready to make the move happen.

Newcastle United have already signed a number the world class of French players this season including Kylian Mbappe, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud.

After losing Lacazape for the rest of the campaign, the Magps have signed two new strikers in Alex Song and Yoan Gouffran, and the club is confident of adding another new player to their squad.
